https://vimeo.com/76425885As most climbers (and humans) are well aware, record rainfall and flash floods devastated the Front Range of Colorado in September. The flood left thousands of families without homes, and even more facing serious damage to their houses, vehicles, and belongings. The American Red Cross responded immediately with rescue assistance, shelter, food, care and comfort for flood victims. While the floods ate away at my home state, I sat on the other side of the world feeling completely helpless as I watched friends and family work to save and cleanup not only their own homes, but also those of complete strangers. Right now, I feel very far removed from my home, but I still want to help my community who is working to put their lives back together. Help me support the Red Cross, and learn about their work in helping flood victims in this short video, featuring Boulder Red Cross Disaster Relief Supervisor George Newell.Help me support the Red Cross in assisting the place that many of us call home, and that many others enjoy as a place to climb and visit.
